She was born in South Korea and grew up in the islands of Indonesia and Malaysia with her parents and older brother. Her multicultural experiences are often utilized in her work as she prioritizes the importance of accurately communicating emotions and helping others achieve this goal. 

In her free time, Jung enjoys watching animation, playing video games, crocheting, and cooking.
